This course is intended for students of the Faculty of Medicine. General histology studies various types of tissues, their functioning and structural organization. During the course, students will receive a range of theoretical knowledge not only from the field of histology, but from the borderline areas of physiology and cell biology. In practical classes, students will study and describe histological slides of tissues. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to identify the type of tissue under a microscope and describe its functional and structural features.

The program is intended for second-year students (the fourth semester).

Assessment: exam.
