Stylistics Contest is designed to help students assess their knowledge of main concepts of stylistics in three directions:
1) Stylistic devices and expressive means
2) Key notions of literary stylistics
3) Literary stylistics: understanding and interpreting
The multiple-choice tasks will deepen students understanding of English emotive prose and polish their skills of text interpretation.
The extracts presented cover a wide range of emotive prose from the beginning of the 20th century up to the present.
